Power Supply

SELCO has an established, clear roadmap to 100% non-carbon power supply by 2032, per our Power Supply Policy and Greenhouse Gas Emission Standard, adopted in 2021. This ensures that we serve as a clean foundation upon which our currently fossil fueled energy system can switch to and decarbonize.

We are committed to delivering 100% carbon-free electricity by 2032 through Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), well ahead of regional investor-owned utilities.

How we do it:

  • Increase non-carbon energy by about 5% each year
  • Maintain a diversified portfolio to ensure reliability and affordable rates
  • Use layered long- and short-term power contracts
  • Leverage local and regional clean energy resources
  • Hedge energy and capacity to limit market volatility

Our focus:

  • Supply-side solutions such as clean energy, battery storage, and local solar.
  • Demand-side solutions that help customers reduce energy use, costs, and emissions.
