We are thrilled to announce that Ellie Ramos, Credit & Collections Specialist, has been honored with the 2024 Robert F. Lutz Excellence in Customer Service Award!
Meet Ellie:
Ellie joined SELCO in April 2022 as a Customer Service Representative and quickly became a cornerstone of the team. In December 2023, she transitioned into the role of Credit and Collections Specialist, where her empathy, compassion, and commitment to Shrewsbury’s residents shine.
Ellie makes a difference every day through her dedication and compassion. She leads efforts in the Share the Warmth program, collaborating with local organizations to assist residents in need, and played a key role in launching SELCO’s Internet Assistance Program, ensuring affordable internet access for eligible customers. Ellie supports customers facing financial challenges with guidance and compassion, helping them navigate assistance programs. Her ability to connect with customers and her willingness to step up wherever needed make her a valued team member and advocate. Coworkers describe Ellie as compassionate, tireless, and always ready to go the extra mile. Whether attending community events, helping customers, or contributing to programs beyond her role, Ellie exemplifies SELCO’s values and the spirit of the Lutz Award.
Established in 2015 to honor the legacy of Robert (Bob) F. Lutz, this award recognizes outstanding customer service. Bob, a 40-year Municipal Light Commissioner for SELCO, valued positivity and exceptional service. The award is presented annually to an employee who exemplifies these qualities in serving either external SELCO customers or internal colleagues.
